So, don't worry, I'm not done with the stories - just finally uploaded all the pics and am going through them. I like a lot of these for a lot of different reasons and I hope that I was able to capture the beauty of the places that we went to. There aren't a lot of people pictures - sorry - but hopefully these too capture the beauty of the trip. It's hard keeping those two in focus!
We are out of order again, so I will make a decision on either finishing the UK, then finishing Portugal and then doing those pictures and then move on to Germany, Austria and Prague or just do whatever I want, when I can.
The Prince! With the other Prince trying to assassinate him from behind.
I love ruins. I think ruined abbeys are easily my favorite. The architecture is always very cool. They're very peaceful, despite the fact that they probably came to a violent end of some kind in the UK. I could easily just lay in the grass or on the stones and zone out and think. I do consider myself to be a douchey philosophical kind of thinker, but I can say I do think deeply about things and these venues, if there was something similar at home, would be where I go. They are a great escape and if you get a chance to go to the UK and you don't visit any abbeys, shame on you!
The skill used in creating these buildings - the craftsmanship, the limited technology, the care are all reasons why they have been able, many to stand for almost a thousand years, despite being attacked and having parts destroyed and having major pieces taken and used for other buildings.

I'm not exactly sure what he did here and why he is running - as far as I know, nothing fell down, yet.

Poor second child gets a shot in a shitty alley in York.
The Golden Child gets a glamour shot at York Minster.
